Double Trouble

I had two great parties to bring cupcakes to today and both were really fun to work on. First was Carrie's baby shower. Her little girl, Taylor Michelle, is due in October. Her friend Stacy threw her a baby shower today and I got to provide the cupcakes. As Carrie is doing a jungle-themed nursery, it gave me the chance to make some really playful cupcakes. I don't have much decorating experience when it comes to animals so I decided to choose three animals that I felt comfortable with: lions, monkeys, and elephants.

Here is what I ended up delivering today:

After that, I headed to Laura's Mary Kay debut party and brought two different cupcakes with pink accents: chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting (tinted pink) and strawberry shortcake cupcakes dusted with pink sugar. I think they ended up looking really classy:
